Carolyn (Daugherty) Barton, 76, of Holden, MO passed away Monday, December 30, 2019. She was born on June 12, 1943 in Warrensburg, MO the daughter of James Vencil Daugherty and Wilma (Campbell) Daugherty. Carolyn lived in the Holden area all of her life. She graduated in 1961 from Chilhowee High School. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chilhowee, MO. She is survived by one son, Billie Gene Barton of Holden, MO; one daughter, Tammy Lynn Buchanan of Centerview, MO; one brother, Donald Ray Daugherty and wife Leah of Holden, MO; one sister, Donna Scrutchfield and husband Daryl of Holden, MO; five grandchildren, Katrina, Amelia, Ian, Serena and Ethan; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Hudson and Holland. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, James and Wilma; her husband, Billie Joe Barton; daughter, Wendy Jo (Barton) Schwarz; brother, Keith Wayne Daugherty. Pallbearers will be, Johnny Anstine, Billie Barton, Donald Daugherty, Michael Daugherty, Daryl Scrutchfield and Toby Truex. Honorary Pallbearers, Bernie Schwarz and her five grandchildren, Katrina, Amelia, Ian, Serena and Ethan. Visitation Services will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at Campbell – Cast Funeral Home, Holden, MO. Graveside Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Shiloh Cemetery east of Chilhowee, MO. Officiated by Donald Daugherty.
