Harlan Ross Norton Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Harlan Ross Norton, 76, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, January 2, 2015, at Home. Harlan was born August 4, 1938 in Holton Kansas, the son of John James Norton and Anna Mae (Dyer) Norton. He married Ruth Irene (Whitehead) on June 22, 1996. Harlan lived in the Holden area for the past 36 years before moving to Warrensburg, Missouri a few months ago. He retired as a truck driver for ABF, Kansas City after 25 years. Harlan was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of New Life Fellowship Baptist Church in Holden Missouri. Surviving his passing are his wife of the home Ruth Irene Norton, Warrensburg, Missouri, one son Lester Norton, Shelton, Washington, one Daughter Michele Copelin, Independence, Missouri, two Step Daughters, Kelly Rivera, Washington State, Valerie Mcelfresh, Washington State, one Brother, Bob Norton, Lincoln Missouri, three Sisters, Carrolle May, Kansas, Judy Bryant, California, Missouri, Lorrainne Carlyle, High Point, Missouri, nine grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren. Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Mae, and two Brothers, Jim Norton and Dennis Norton. Visitation will be from 12:30pm to 1:00pm Thursday January 8, 2015 at the Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015, at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden, MO. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Warrensburg, MO.
