Harold Dean Hancock, 73 of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at St Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born Thursday, July 22, 1948 in Holden, Missouri to the late Floyd Hancock and the late Peggy (Beasley) Hancock. He was the husband of Dolores (O'Toole) Hancock. Harold graduated from Holden High School, class of 1966. He received a Bachelor's degree from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri and spent thirty-eight years employed with First Federal Bank of Kansas City. Harold served his country proudly with the United States Army and was a Vietnam Era veteran. He was a member of the St. Mark's Catholic Church in Independence, Missouri and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Gladstone, Missouri. Surviving are wife, Dolores of the home; son, David Hancock of Independence, two daughters, Kimberly (Dustin) Osborn of Grain Valley and Anne Hancock (and fiancé John Stanks) of Independence; brother, Robert (Jeani Getz) Hancock of Lincoln, MO; sister, Patsy (Donnie) Calhoun of Holden, MO; three grandchildren, Isabella Castor, Joshua Osborn and Harlie Osborn. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Elaine Ralston. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Campbell-Cast Funeral Home, 407 S. Pine St., Holden, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 703 S. Olive St. Holden, Missouri 64040 with Father Curt Vogel officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Holden, MO. Pallbearers: Dustin Osborn, John Stanks, Brent Callahan, Brian Callahan, Barbie Callahan, Glen Ralston, SSG Joshua Ralston, Danny Meads. Honorary Pallbearers: MSG Robert Hancock, David Hancock, Donnie Calhoun, Dale Callahan, Greg Emmerich, Erin Foster, Timmothy Emmerich. Memorial contributions may be sent to Mt. Calvary Cemetery Association. The family would like to thank First Federal Bank of Kansas City as well as Saint Luke's Hospital nurses and physicians for their diligence in loving care of Harold for the past eleven years.
