Frances "Fran" Nadine Rapp

Frances Nadine “Fran” McKinney Rapp, age 91, of Holden, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Fran was born on Tuesday, July 23, 1935, in Paris, Missouri, to the late Charles and Flossie (Lepper) McKinney. She graduated from Ferguson High School in 1953. On March 11, 1955, Fran married the love of her life, Jerome “Jerry” Rapp. Together, they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2021. Their life together was filled with love, faith, laughter, and countless cherished memories. They were blessed with six children—three sons and three daughters—and Fran devoted her heart to making a loving home and raising her family. In 2003, Jerry and Fran moved from the Lake of the Ozarks to Holden, Missouri, where they continued to build a life surrounded by family and friends. Fran was a woman of deep and unwavering faith and was a member of New Life Fellowship Church in Holden. She treasured attending church and participating in church activities, finding comfort and joy in her faith and the fellowship of others. Fran found happiness in the simple, meaningful things in life. She loved painting, restoring furniture, tending to her flowers, and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and making memories with them. She had a special way of making her home feel warm and welcoming. If you saw Fran in her kitchen, there was a good chance she had her familiar towel thrown over her shoulder as she went about caring for the people she loved. Family was always at the center of Fran’s world. Her greatest joy was being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her family and leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be treasured by those who knew and loved her. Her kindness, faith, strength, and love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Fran was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerome “Jerry” Rapp; her parents, Charles and Flossie McKinney; her sons, Lawrence Rapp and Christopher Rapp; her daughter, Mendy Hammons; her brothers, Jack McKinney and Robert McKinney; and her sister, Beverly McKinney. She leaves behind her son, Joseph Rapp and wife Debbie; daughters, Cheryl Vierqutz and husband Mark, and Elizabeth “Beth” Depriest and husband Kent; along with 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her memory and love in their hearts. Funeral services will be held at Campbell-Cast Funeral Home, 407 S. Pine St., Holden, Missouri, on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Josh Ervin, Ryan Rapp, Jon Rapp, Jeremy Crowson, David Crowson, Frank Mangiaracina, and Chris Mangiaracina. Interment will take place at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Madison, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sunset Hills Cemetery, P.O.
