Korlanos "K" Russell Davis

Korlanos “K” Russell Davis, 36 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri. He was born Thursday, December 8, 1988, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Quentin Chandler Sr. and Rachel Denise Davis. “K” attended H. Kenneth Kirchner State school in Jefferson City, Missouri. His mother Rachel cared for him until he was 17 years old. In 2009 he moved to Expanding Horizons Independent Living facility in Warrensburg, Missouri where he lived until his passing. He was well cared for by the Expanding Horizons staff and caregivers during his stay there, and though he liked them all he did have a favorite caregiver, which was Jonathan Williams, who took care of him for seven years. His best friend was his house mate Carlos. “K” enjoyed attending the Rise Day Program & Center for Human Services in Sedalia, Missouri. He loved music, dancing and going on long car rides. He liked a variety of foods and would only eat them for a period of time and then wanted to change it up. He loved visits from his family and friends. Even after becoming blind when he had visitors, he knew who each one of them was. He liked making noises with his mouth and had to be on the move all the time, never wanting to sit down. He liked going outside and playing on the swing set and trampoline. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Quentin Chandler Sr., grandparents Robert and Delores Whitman, grandfather, George White, caregiver, Kent Reynolds. Surviving his passing are his mother, Rachel Davis of Mexico Missouri, brothers; Deneze Johnson, DeAngelo Davis and Quentin Chandler Jr. all from Jefferson City, Missouri, sisters; Dominique Davis of Phoenix, Arizona, Deja Davis of Jefferson City, Missouri. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and his Expanding Horizons family who he had for many years. The family will have a Celebration of Life service on Saturday March 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Campbell-Cast Funeral Home 407 S. Pine St. Holden, Missouri. On Saturday March 15, 2025, the family will have a Celebration of Life service in Jefferson City Missouri at the Second Christian Church 703 E. Dunklin St. Jefferson City, Missouri.
