Saundra "Sandy" Kay Martin

Saundra “Sandy” Kay (Creason) Martin, 78, of Kingsville, Missouri joined her Lord and Savior at 4:08 a.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021. It is with heavy, yet joyful hearts that we say so long to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and great friend. Sandy was born July 11, 1942 in Orrick, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Allen Creason and Mae Dean (Richardson) Creason. Sandy graduated from Orrick High School, the class of 1961. She married Storm Jack Martin on June 30, 1961 in Orrick, Missouri at the Orrick Baptist Church. Coming from Raytown and making Kingsville their home since 1985. Sandy raced Dirt Track Cars and showed rabbits. She was a founding member of the River of Life Church in Kingsville, MO where she played piano. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a member of the Missouri State Rabbit Producers, a member of the Osage Muzzle Loader Black Powder Club of Elm Spring, MO and a member of the Midwest Trailblazers Club of Holden, MO. Sandy was a former School Bus Driver for the Raytown School System. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs and her beloved dog, “Teddy Bear”. Sandy’s favorite Bible Verse was John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mae Creason; one son, Storm Alan Martin; brother-in-law, Dale Curtis. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Storm Martin; one son, Dusty Martin and wife Terry Martin; two daughters, Wendy Bingham and husband Todd, Sandy Jones and husband, Christopher; grandchildren, Storm Martin and wife Samantha, Patricia Martin, Megan Manachia and husband, Michael, Jonathan Bingham and wife Ashley, Carson Martin and wife Nadine, Kaycee Martin, Taylor Jones and wife Margie, Zach Jones, Erica Cornell, Logan Jones and Phoenix Martin and wife Danielle; great grandchildren, Storm, Samuel, Savannah, Keegan, Gunner, Adalynn, Ryleigh, Bria, Meredith, Jaxson, Bella and Remi; two brothers, Duke Creason and wife Janice, Joe Creason and wife Jenni; two sisters, Sharon Curtis, Robin McDonald and husband, Lonnie; one daughter-in-law, Terry Martin; one sister-in-law, Mina Fleming; two brothers-in-law, Rick Fleming and Thomas Martin; several nieces and nephews; many friends and neighbors. Sandy’s two sisters, Sharon and Robin, and brothers, Duke and Joseph and their families are very close and will miss her greatly. Heavy hearted we are because we will never again experience the characters and traits that were so unique in Sandy. Never again will we enjoy the random sing alongs at the piano. Never again will we be welcomed with kisses, hugs and handshakes. Never again will we get the joy from her sense of humor, her knack of laughing to the point of exhaustion, her bad jokes and her love of animals, her love affair with Joe Montana and Patrick Mahomes. But she leaves us with joyful hearts as well. Joyful because not a single person who really knew her doubts where her eternal soul is abiding now. Joyful ‘cause we know that right now Mom, who struggled to breathe air here to survive, is now, breathing celestial air where survival is not a consideration. Her legs are strong, healed, and full of energy to walk her heavenly home. Her body riddled with the pains and deterioration of life is now simply perfect. Never again will she have a care of doctors, surgeons, or specialists. She is in the presence of the Great Physician and He says to her, Sandy Rise and Walk. Each one who reads this will have their own, very long list of memories that not only make your heart heavy, but it will also leave your heart joyful too. So, Mom, you don’t leave us lonely, you don’t leave us devastated, you don’t leave us empty and you don’t leave us distraught, what you do leave us with is a sense of longing. Longing for your smile, your orneriness, your laugh, your encouragement, your wisdom, your character, your integrity, your principles and mostly your love for us. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at River of Life Church (1772 NW 450th RD, Kingsville, MO) with Pastor Mike Williams officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at River of Life Church before the Funeral Service. Due to Covid the family respectfully requests that everyone in attendance please wear a mask and practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to River of Life Church (1772 NW 450th Rd, Kingsville, MO 64061). Funeral Arrangements entrusted to Campbell-Cast Funeral Home, Holden, MO.
